Discussions of visual field testing frequenrly concentate on the 'how" or the "when'' of visual field resting, as pracritioners grapple with the question of whether or not to screen all patients in their pracrite. I suggest that it is preferable to confine field testing to those patients where iris clinically indicated: to support this suggesrion. I have reviewed 226 consecutive patients for whom Goldmann kinetic visual fields were conducted by me.
