Guest Editorial: International Conference on Low Vision

Abstract

You are cordially invited to Vision 2008 — The 9th International Conference on Low Vision that will take place in Montreal from July 7th to 11th. More than 2,000 participants from all over the world are expected to take part in a very stimulating, educational, and innovative program. The theme of the conference is Research-Rehabilitation Partnerships, em­phasizing the multi- and interdisciplinary approach to low vision rehabilitation. Professionals from various disciplines including optometry and ophthalmology, nursing, social work, teaching, occupational and physical therapy, orientation and mobility, gerontology, adaptive technology, and oth­ers will examine the visually impaired per­son's experience before, during, and after rehabilitation service delivery.
