In this study, a comparison of visual performance through the central parts of the Aspheral and convemional ophthalmic lenses was made using visual acuity and contrast sensitivity as indices of performance. The results of our investigation indicate that the Aspheral lens with its unique lens design provides the same visual performance as other conventional lens designs.
