When it was officially announced at CAO's 1967 Biennial Congress in Montreal that the College of Optometry of Ontario would be moving from St George Street in Toronto to the University of Waterloo, it was a euphoric occasion. Immediately, this historic event triggered a great deal of optimism for the continued growth of the profession in Canada, optimism that would prove to be well founded.
