Cet article présente les principales caractéristiques de la fonction de la sensibilité au contraste ainsi que différentes techniques pour la mesurer. Outre les techniques utilisées dans les laboratoires de recherche, ii existe plusieurs tests de sensibilité au contraste qui sont plus facilement applicables en clinique. Certains sont en fait des échelles d’acuité visuelle a bas contrastes. Cet article a pour objet de sensibiliser le clinicien a la fonction de sensibilité au contraste et a ses différentes techniques de mesure.
