Résumé

Cet article présente les principales implications cliniques de la mesure de la sensibilité au contraste. Les effets de différentes conditions oculo-visuelles sur la Jonction de sensibilité au contraste sont décrits. Dans plusieurs domaines de l'optométrie, l'étude de la sensibilité au contraste présente un grand intérêt. Bien que cette mesure ne soit pas nécessaire dans tous Jes cas, elle peut apporter une information utile et permettre de mieux décrire et de mieux comprendre les déficits visuels.
