How useful is the VisTech MCTS000 for contrast sensitivity and glare testing?

L'étude actuelle évalue l’utilité des mesures de la SD et de l'éblouissement perturbateur à l'aide du Vistech MCT8000, en se fondant sur leur fiabilité et leur redondance. Trois groupes témoin ont été utilisés : jeune normal (N=24), vieux normal (N=22) et cataracte (N=32). Les corrélations élevées entre les notes adjacentes de SD de fréquence spatiale indiquent que la plus grande partie de l’information recueillie est superflue. Tout ce dont on a besoin est une mesure fiable de l'acuité visuelle et une évaluation de la SD au sommet ou près du sommet de la courbe de SD. Les résultats de tests indiquent une piètre répétabilité des résultats à l'aide du MCT. La taille de l'incrément et la méthode psycho-physique de détermination du seuil constituent des facteurs importants. La normalisation de la source d'éblouissement semblent mains importantes lorsque de tels facteurs ne sont pas optimises.
