Résumé

Le kératocône est une condition que l'optométriste voit de plus en plus fréquemment dans son cabinet. Les patients souffrant de cette maladie le consultent car l'expérience démontre que les lentilles cornéennes peuvent améliorer la vision de la plupart de ces personnes. De plus en plus, les parents et /es patients questionnent sur la génétique et la transmission de la condition. Une tranche discussion des théories courantes sur l'hérédité du kératocône est le meilleur service que l'optométriste puisse rendre a ces gens inquiets.
