Prevalence of Convergence Insufficiency among Elementary School Children

La prévalence de l'insuffisance de convergence chez des enfants de 5 à 13 ans a été mesurée dans six écoles primaires de la région de Montreal, soit un échantillon de 2,048 sujets des deux sexes. Le taux de prévalence était de 2.25% (CI95% =l.6-2.9) ce qui est inférieur aux résultats antérieurs. Les raisons de cette différence, la signification clinique de l'insuffisance de convergence et les méthodes de diagnostic sont analysées.
