The central corneal thickness measured by 2 methods is compared in 31 normal subjects. At their 2 required visits, corneal thickness is evaluated by an electronic and an ultrasonic method. Reliability is demonstrated by an analysis of valiance between repeated measurements for the electronic digital and the Humphrey ultrasonic pachometers. On the whole, the former reveals a systematic tight-left difference, the left comea being significantly thicker. A very high correlarion coefficient is obtained ben-veen the Mo methods and, moreover. the result obtained for the 1igh1 eye between these two methods is not significantly different.
