Abstract

The central corneal thickness measured by 2 methods is compared in 31 normal subjects. At their 2 required visits, cor­neal thickness is evaluated by an elec­tronic and an ultrasonic method. Relia­bility is demonstrated by an analysis of valiance between repeated measurements for the electronic digital and the Humphrey ultrasonic pachometers. On the whole, the former reveals a sys­tematic tight-left difference, the left comea being significantly thicker. A very high correlarion coefficient is obtained ben-veen the Mo methods and, moreover. the result obtained for the 1igh1 eye between these two methods is not sig­nificantly different.
